Aged receivables and payables in Excel
Blink pulls aged receivables and aged payables from Xero or QuickBooks Online into your Excel workbook, so collections follow-up, month-end review and the board pack all work from the same current numbers.
Pulling the aging
- In Excel, open Blink and choose Reports.
- Pick aged receivables or aged payables, choose the period, and pull.
- Each report lands on its own tab, where your summaries and charts can read it.
Blink works with Xero and QuickBooks Online. New to Blink? Add it to Excel first.
What teams use it for
- Weekly collections lists, sorted by the oldest balances.
- Month-end review of receivables and payables against the balance sheet.
- Doubtful-account and accrual reviews.
- Board and lender packs, with the aging linked into Word and PowerPoint.
Need the invoices behind a balance? Blink also pulls invoices and credit notes, and bills from QuickBooks Online.
Keeping it current
Each aging tab remembers its period, so Refresh re-pulls it on demand, and Refresh All updates every Blink tab in the workbook, with the aged receivables and payables tabs last.
Questions
Does it work in Excel for the web and on the desktop?
Both, with a current Microsoft 365 subscription. Business Basic includes the web apps only, and Blink runs there too. Perpetual Office (2019, 2021) isn’t supported. More on supported plans.
Can IT add it for the whole team?
Yes. An admin can deploy Blink once from Integrated apps in the Microsoft 365 admin center, and it appears in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for the people they choose. See the admin steps.
Can you help set up our workbook?
Yes, that’s what we do. Email us about the workbook or process, attach it if you like, and we’ll show you how Blink fits.
